II.1 1471 Coventry May: Anne Neville is captured together with Marguerite d’ Anjou after the Battle of Tewkesbury, where her husband, Edward of Lancaster is killed by George of Clarence.
II.2 1471 Coventry May: Kind Edward IV enteres Conventry, and the first conflict between George of Clarence and Richard III become visible about the rule over the estates of Anne Neville, who now is is ward of her brother-in-law, George, the Duke of Clarence. Richard III wants to marry her for love, as he is granted her estate Middleham anyway.
II.3 1471 London May: The Yorkist forces re-enter London, where King Edward IV orders the murder of King Henry VI against the advice of Richard III.

II.4 1471 London May: Anne Neville, now in the unfriendly custody of her brother-in-law, George of Clarence, professes her love for Richard III.
II.5 1471 Middleham September: Francis Lovell witnesses the execution of Thomas Neville (called: the Bastard of Fauconberg). Relocation of Richard III’s illegitimate son John to Neville custody.
II.6 1471 London September: Anne Neville’s well being is under threat under the custody of her brother-in-law, George of Clarence. She plans to escape custody.
II.7 1471 London October: Anne Neville has escaped her custody under George of Clarence and the York brothers discuss her whereabouts.
II.8 1471 Westminster October: King Edward IV, suffering toothache, threatens George of Clarence if Anne Neville is not found.

II.9 1471 London October: Anne Neville escapes the Herber and hides in an inn in Aldgate.
II.10 1471 London October: Richard III rescues Anne Neville and proposes. He promises to place her in sanctuary in the collegiate church of Martin-le-Grand.
II.11 1471 Westminster November: King Edward IV discuss the situation with Richard III when he could marry Anne Neville.
II.12 1472 St. Martin le Grand, London February: Richard III and Anne Neville in bed together at St. Martin-le-Grand, but delaying intimacy, as they are waiting for papal dispensation.
II.13 1472 Shene February: King Edward IV tells George, Duke of Clarence, that he must accede to the marriage between Anne Neville and Richard III or he will let Anne’s mother out of sanctuary to lay claim to her jointure.
