David Harpham

David Harpham
studied at the University of York, graduating in 2007 with a 2:1 BA (Hons) degree in History.
It was here that his first interest in fourteenth and fifteenth centuries study began, with a particular passion developing for the period termed by Ivanhoe as ‘The Wars of the Roses’.

After a period in employment working for such organisations as DWP and Reed in Partnership, he returned to University in 2011, studying for a Masters degree in Medieval History at the University of Sheffield, where his dissertation focused on the relationship between the Nobility, the ‘Community’ and emerging perceptions of ‘the Realm’ in the Wars of the Roses era. His MA was achieved in 2012, where he achieved a Merit. David has been working in the voluntary History sector since 2011, in conjunction with a number of local organisations, including Sheffield Cathedral.
